Basketball Recap: Crown Point Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Crown Point hadn't done well against Valparaiso recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Crown Point Bulldogs took down the Valparaiso Vikings 63-47. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

Despite the loss, Valparaiso still got an impressive performance from Caden Crowell, who went 7-for-17 en route to 19 points. Thanks to that strong game, Crowell now owns an excellent 41% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddux Wagner, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Crown Point's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points over those games. As for Valparaiso, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-13.

Crown Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-63 victory against Brownsburg on the 15th. As for Valparaiso, they will welcome Chesterton at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Chesterton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Valparaiso surely won't give up without a fight.
