Softball Recap: Destin Comes Up Short

The Destin Sharks lost 11-3 to the Notre Dame Academy Tritons on Wednesday. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anita Palmer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. She also put up a home run, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Keelie Ellis, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Destin's loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Destin will venture away from home to face off against Booker T. Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Booker T. Washington has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something Destin will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
