Baseball Recap: Las Plumas Comes Up Short

Las Plumas lost against Gridley last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 8-1. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Las Plumas saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter George, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Las Plumas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Gridley, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Las Plumas will challenge Orland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Gridley, they will take on Folsom at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
