Volleyball Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Takes a Loss

Lawrence-Nelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blue Hill Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Tuesday.

Lawrence-Nelson actually scored more points across those three sets (67-66), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Lawrence-Nelson still got an impressive performance from Victoria Koehler, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Lawrence-Nelson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Blue Hill, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-19.

Lawrence-Nelson has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Harvard on the 18th. As for Blue Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Shelton on the 18th.
