Softball Recap: Warwick Comes Up Short

Warwick lost to Central York back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-6.

Emerson Overly was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Katie Burr also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Warwick's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Central York, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Coming up, Warwick will be playing at home against J.P. McCaskey at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Tornados at the right time seeing as the Tornados are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Central York, they have already played their next matchup, a 5-4 loss against Penn Manor on the 18th.
