Hazelwood West is 6-1 against University City since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Lions at 4:15 p.m. Hazelwood West will be strutting in after a victory while University City will be coming in after a loss.

Hazelwood West had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Ritenour on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Huskies.

Meanwhile, University City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to Metro. While losing is never fun, University City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Metro are ranked 93rd).

Hazelwood West's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for University City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Hazelwood West took their victory against University City in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 7-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
