Softball Recap: Farmington Phoenix vs. Syracuse Titans
Farmington couldn't beat Syracuse on Thursday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Phoenix fell just short of the Titans by a score of 13-12. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-4 back in April.

Brooklyn Wright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Jane Frey was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Farmington has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Syracuse, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmington will venture away from home to take on Roy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Syracuse, they will head out to face off against Fremont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
