After having lost a blowout in their previous game against John Jay, Somers was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the North Salem Tigers 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Tuskers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Somers' got stronger as the match went on, holding North Salem to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-16.

The win got Somers back to even at 1-1. As for North Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Somers will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ardsley at 4:30 p.m. on October 8. As for North Salem, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hamilton on the 19th.
