Basketball Recap: L.W. Higgins Comes Up Short

L.W. Higgins and Mt. Carmel squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but L.W. Higgins had to settle for second. They fell 32-24 to the Mt. Carmel Cubs. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

L.W. Higgins' loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Mt. Carmel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-12.

While L.W. Higgins had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
