Football Game Preview: Enumclaw Hornets vs. White River Hornets + How To Watch

Enumclaw is a perfect 9-0 against White River since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Enumclaw will be playing in front of their home fans against White River at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated after eight games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

Enumclaw gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't give up any more after. They snuck past Eastmont with a 33-28 victory. The win almost wasn't to be: the Hornets were down 21-7 in the second quarter.

Gavin Trachte looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, White River's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They never let Decatur get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. Those 15 points were actually the fewest the Hornets have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to White River's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Decatur's side was Kovi Poulin, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (8.0 for loss).

White River's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Enumclaw, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-0.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Enumclaw has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 221.1 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for White River, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 73.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Enumclaw against White River in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-13 win. Will Enumclaw repeat their success, or does White River has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
