It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Byron had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Northfield Raiders with a sharp 67-45 victory. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

The win (which was Byron's third in a row) raised their record to 24-3. As for Northfield, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-12 record.

Looking ahead, Byron will welcome Stewartville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron is on a six-game streak of home wins, Stewartville a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Northfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
