Recap: Fox Creek Predators vs. Airport Eagles
It was a good run, but the Fox Creek Predators unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Airport by a score of 54-51. Fox Creek lost against Airport in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-50 score last time.
Fox Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Cannon, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Cannon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Justin Vining was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Fox Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Airport, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-7.
Fox Creek and Jefferson County will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Jefferson County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 469th in Georgia, while Fox Creek is ranked 170th in South Carolina). Airport and Ridgeland-Hardeeville will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at.
