Volleyball Recap: Turtle Lake Beats Siren for Their Fifth Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Turtle Lake had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Siren Dragons on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Lakers, who have now won five matchups in a row.

While Turtle Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-22, 25-14.

Turtle Lake found their leader in sophomore Destiney Osumi, who had ten digs and four aces.

Turtle Lake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

Turtle Lake's win bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Siren, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-18.

Turtle Lake has already played their next match (against Frederic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Siren does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
