Volleyball Recap: South Harrison Takes a Loss

If South Harrison was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Brookfield on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the West Nodaway Rockets on Monday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While South Harrison was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into West Nodaway's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-23.

Ella Estes paced South Harrison's offense, picking up 12 kills. Estes got some help from Ava Shields and her 15 assists. Estes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

South Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for West Nodaway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

South Harrison will be playing at home against Plattsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Nodaway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
