Murray won against Hickman County  last Saturday with 11  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Tuesday. Murray beat the Camden Central Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  11-1. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six  runs or more this season.
 Avery Starks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI. That  RBI was  his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Eli Whitaker was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. He also put up a  double, which was his first of the season.
 Murray  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .543. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  matchups.
Murray's record now sits at 5-1. As for Camden Central,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murray will host St. Mary  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Murray will need to watch out since St. Mary has now posted at least ten  runs  every time they've taken the field this season. As for Camden Central,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as Camden Central Lions  take on  Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers at 5:00  a.m.  on Thursday.
