Westmont is a perfect 3-0 against Ida Crown Jewish Academy since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Sentinels will host the Aces at 4:30 p.m. Westmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Westmont came up short against Marian Central Catholic and fell 14-9.
Nikolai Baldwin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Andy Pecard, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Ida Crown Jewish Academy got the win against Walther Christian Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 13-2. The Aces haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Noah Lehrfield was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Gabriel Rich and Eli Comrov did most of the damage at the plate: Rich went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Comrov got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Yaakov Lehrfield was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Ida Crown Jewish Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
