Baseball Recap: Reading Takes a Loss

Wilson hit Reading with a seven-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red KNights came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on April 4th.

Reading saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Janser Paredes, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Paredes is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Reading and nudges their season record down to 5-14. As for Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Reading will face off against rival Governor Mifflin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wilson is set to square off against their familiar foe Muhlenberg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
