Softball Recap: Brown City Starts Season with Loss at Home

Brown City unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Millington Cardinals on Wednesday, falling 12-5. The Green Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in May of 2015.

Olivia Parr made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Chloe Hayes was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Brown City will be playing in front of their home fans against Caro at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Millington, they will head out on the road to square off against Bad Axe at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
