After a string of five wins, Stanhope Elmore's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 70-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wetumpka Indians. Sadly, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-54 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wetumpka to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christopher Robinson, who went 7 for 13 en route to 16 points along with eight boards and five assists. Justin Godwin was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Stanhope Elmore's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Wetumpka, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-5.

Stanhope Elmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wetumpka, they will face off against Percy Julian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wetumpka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.6 points per game this season.
