Softball Recap: Academy of Our Lady of Peace's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

If Academy of Our Lady of Peace was feeling good fresh off their 15-4 takedown of Patrick Henry last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pilots took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cathedral Catholic Dons on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pilots of the 10-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Alayna Ma'Ake made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Bryn Marsh was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

The defeat snapped Academy of Our Lady of Peace's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-10 record. As for Cathedral Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Academy of Our Lady of Peace and Cathedral Catholic will both be playing Christian the next time they take the field. The Pilots will host the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Dons will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th.
