Basketball Recap: Bishop Moore's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Bishop Moore lost to Rockledge back in February of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Bishop Moore Hornets came out on top against the Rockledge Raiders by a score of 50-38. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Hornets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 459th, while the Raiders are ranked 206th).

Bishop Moore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Rivera, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Gonzalez, who had nine points and seven rebounds.

Bishop Moore's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14. As for Rockledge, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Bishop Moore and Montverde Academy Gold will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Rockledge, they will be taking part in a tournament against Merritt Island at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
