Basketball Recap: New Life Academy Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Union Grove Christian, New Life Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the City Baptist School Overcomers, sneaking past 47-44. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 37-34 loss the last time these two teams met.

New Life Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for City Baptist School, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. New Life Academy will head out to face off against Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for City Baptist School, they will square off against HomeSchool Resource Center at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots have insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
