Softball Recap: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Comes Up Short

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-1 to the Cambridge Christian Lancers. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Hurricanes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cambridge Christian, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hernando at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. Hernando is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
