Princeton hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost four straight) but thanks in part to Teo McPhatter that streak is no more. The Princeton Bulldogs had just enough and edged the Spring Creek Gators out 65-63 thanks to McPhatter, who went 10-for-21 on his way to 32 points and four steals. The game was his eighth in a row with at least 15 points.
Another player making a difference was Evan Pate, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 16 boards. He has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played.
Despite the loss, Spring Creek still got an impressive performance from Brennan Chambers, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Chambers a new career-high in points. Nathan Jackson was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 15 points.
Princeton's win bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
Coming up, Princeton will challenge Eastern Wayne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Wayne will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Princeton surely won't give up without a fight. Spring Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
