Florida Christian will take on Aubrey Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Aubrey Rogers will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Florida Christian extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Patriots claimed a resounding 41-3 win over Coral Shores. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Patriots had established a 31-point advantage.
Florida Christian found their leader in sophomore Osmanny Montano, who picked up two sacks and made three total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. Cordell Gibson also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making two total tackles.
Florida Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 201 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Florida Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Montano and Brett Vignau. Montano is also crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Florida Christian got some further help from Tony Gonzalez Jr.: he made 12 total tackles.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aubrey Rogers). They breezed past Bonita Springs to the tune of 62-0 on Friday.
Aubrey Rogers found their leader in sophomore Braden Houser, who threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Ryan Smith helped Houser out on the ground, rushing for 22 yards and a pair of TDs, while also catching one score.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Aubrey Rogers, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Hudson King, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Aubrey Rogers' defense and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Jayden Ramos and Cash Mading, who each picked up one sack apiece. Aubrey Rogers received some extra help from Ryker Cusick, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Aubrey Rogers' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Florida Christian, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-1-1.
Everything went Florida Christian's way against Aubrey Rogers when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Florida Christian made off with a 48-28 victory.
