League recap: O'neil's hot bat leads Moultonborough Academy

Division IV league recap: 5/7/12

Ben O'neil was on fire this week, as he led Division IV with a .308 average, one home run and five RBIs. Meanwhile, Moultonborough Academy put together a 1-2 week.

Pittsburg made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from fourteenth to eleventh place in the league thanks to a 1-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Nute fell hardest in the standings, dropping from eleventh all the way to fourteenth place after going 0-2 in the past week. Portsmouth Christian Academy (7-0, 5-0) is now in first place.

The Panthers's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 29 hits and seven walks, both of which led the league. Moultonborough Academy has given up a mere 52 hits on the year in addition to compiling 31 strikeouts. Marcus Swedberg is the leader in that category with 16 Ks on the season.
