King City extended their winning streak to nine on Thursday, bumping them up to 9-1. They strolled past the Stevenson Pirates with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 7-0 victory the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stevenson fell to 9-1. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this contest were averaging 12.9 points allowed.

Defeat or not, Stevenson got some senior leadership from Fin Mink and Caden Olson. Mink threw for 338 yards and four TDs while completing 74.4% of his passes, while Olson picked up 141 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Olson's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 128 receiving yards.

As of now, neither King City nor Stevenson have any future games scheduled.
