Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Christian Extends Winning Streak to Three

Blue Ridge Christian hadn't done well against Grace Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Blue Ridge Christian Bears managed a 38-34 victory over the Grace Christian Warriors. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Despite the loss, Grace Christian still got an impressive performance from Aubrey Greenmun, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 58.8% of Grace Christian's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Harper, who earned six points and six boards.

Blue Ridge Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Grace Christian, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge Christian has already played their next contest (against Roanoke Valley Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grace Christian will square off against Ridgeview Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
