Basketball Recap: Vinton Comes Up Short

Vinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Rosepine Eagles, falling 80-13. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 338th, while the Eagles are ranked 27th).

Vinton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Rosepine, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

Looking ahead, Vinton will take on Eunice at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rosepine, they will square off against DeQuincy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
