Basketball Recap: Hanalani's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 17

Hanalani extended their winning streak to 17 games thanks to a huge performance from Ellana Klemp. The Hanalani Royals blew past the Mid-Pacific Institute Owls 66-22 on Friday thanks in part to Klemp, who went 10 of 13 en route to 24 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Piha Akiona was another key player, putting up five points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Hanalani pushed their record up to 23-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 32.1% in those games and 20.3% outside of them. As for Mid-Pacific Institute, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
