Soccer Recap: Commerce Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lumpkin County, Commerce was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tigers who were credited with the win.

Commerce's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Winder-Barrow, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commerce will square off against Cedar Shoals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Commerce will need to watch out since Cedar Shoals have now posted at least four goals in their last three contests. As for Winder-Barrow, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against East Hall at 5:30 p.m. Winder-Barrow will be up against East Hall's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.53 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
