Softball Game Preview: Albany Falcons vs. Shenendehowa Plainsmen

Albany hasn't had much luck against Shenendehowa recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Falcons will face off against the Plainsmen at 4:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Albany was handed a seven-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Cohoes 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since April 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, while Shenendehowa put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Queensbury. The Plainsmen were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Spartans.

The victory got Albany back to even at 1-1. As for Shenendehowa, their record is now 2-0.

Albany might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Shenendehowa in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
