Basketball Recap: Buckeye Central Comes Up Short

Buckeye Central lost against Colonel Crawford back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buckeye Central Bucks came up short against the Colonel Crawford Eagles, falling 62-39. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 676th, while the Eagles are ranked 117th).

Buckeye Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Colonel Crawford, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

When Buckeye Central and Colonel Crawford next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Buckeye Central will try to stop Ridgedale's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Buckeye Central will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Similarly, Colonel Crawford will face off against Fredericktown and their 12-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
