While Point Loma's victory against Rancho Bernardo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pointers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Broncos 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Pointers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Point Loma got a great performance from Marviel Underwood as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Underwood has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Point Loma saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Druw Frost, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Point Loma's victory bumped their record up to 20-12-1. As for Rancho Bernardo, they moved to 18-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Point Loma nor the Broncos have any future games scheduled.
