Basketball Recap: River Ridge Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

River Ridge hadn't done well against Timberline recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The River Ridge Hawks came out on top against the Timberline Blazers by a score of 68-61. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Blazers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 69-63 loss.

River Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryzen Nunez, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. That's the most points Nunez has posted since back in December of 2024. Dominique Harper was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Timberline lost, don't look at Kenyon Simmons. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points along with seven boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was D.J. Falco, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

River Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Timberline, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
