Basketball Recap: Latta's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Latta was riding high fresh off their 61-20 takedown of Calera last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 39-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vanoss Wolves on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Latta fell to 2-1. As for Vanoss, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Latta and Vanoss will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Panthers see the court they'll take on Dale at 6:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Vanoss, their break will end when they face Earlsboro at 6:00 p.m. on December 18.
