Basketball Recap: Southwest Atlanta Christian's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Southwest Atlanta Christian extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Jabari Burleson. The Warriors walked away with a 49-38 victory over the Hapeville Charter Hornets on Saturday thanks in part to Burleson, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last 12 games he's played dating back to last season.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Holloway, who posted nine points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Jayden Ferguson, who earned seven points.

Southwest Atlanta Christian's record is now 7-0. As for Hapeville Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Southwest Atlanta Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 66-49 win against Heard County on the 2nd. As for Hapeville Charter, they have also already played their next contest, a 73-32 defeat against Lovett on the 2nd.
