Baseball Recap: Cosumnes Oaks Starts Season with Win at Home

Cosumnes Oaks gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Argonaut Mustangs, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolfpack have posted since March 6, 2024.

Cosumnes Oaks' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Estrada, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Argonaut fell to 3-1.

Coming up, Cosumnes Oaks will square off against Rio Americano at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Argonaut will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Antelope at 3:30 p.m. on March 6th.
