There's no place like home for Hamburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Monticello Billies 55-20. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Nikel Lewis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 353 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaeden Thomas, who threw for 217 yards and one TD on only 17 passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hamburg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 375 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 205 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Hamburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Key'Vion Duckery. Hamburg got some further help from Aiden Robinson: he made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Hamburg's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Hamburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 57-34 win against Central on the 3rd. As for Monticello, they have also already played their next game, a 27-23 defeat against Warren on the 3rd.
