Reece Morin commands the offense for Barracudas win

The University Christian Barracudas can finally bid farewell to their 25-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Salem Baptist Christian with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. University Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

University Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reece Morin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Max Haan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.

Despite the loss, Salem Baptist Christian still got an impressive performance from Garrett Trinkle, who shot 4-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a triple-double on 24 points, ten rebounds, and 12 steals. Trinkle is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Lloyd, who scored no points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.

University Christian's win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-7. As for Salem Baptist Christian, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-15.

University Christian will take on Hickory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Statesville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Statesville Christian is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
