Crete-Monee came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Thornridge Falcons 68-6. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Falcons are ranked 460th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crete-Monee's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Thornridge, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crete-Monee will challenge Rich Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thornridge, they will take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
