Basketball Recap: Riverside Military Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cottage last Wednesday, Riverside Military Academy came back down to earth. The Riverside Military Academy Eagles were beaten by the George Walton Academy Bulldogs 70-38 on Monday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Riverside Military Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alexander Beloyvan, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Muhammed Wade, who posted ten points.

It was another big night for Preston Evans, who went 9 of 11 on his way to 19 points for George Walton Academy. The contest was Evans' third in a row with at least ten points. Tiedrell Ansley was another key player, putting up seven points along with seven assists and five boards.

Riverside Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for George Walton Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Riverside Military Academy will head out to square off against Bethlehem Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. George Walton Academy has already played their next matchup, a 49-48 defeat against Prince Avenue Christian on the 10th.
