Basketball Recap: Lake of the Woods Takes a Loss

Lake of the Woods was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 77-27 loss at the hands of the Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] Northern Freeze. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 74-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Lake of the Woods' loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County], they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Lake of the Woods has already played their next contest, a 108-36 defeat against Ely on the 8th. As for Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County], they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 77-54 loss against Red Lake County Central on the 8th.
