Preview: Union County vs. Towns County
On Friday, Union County are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Towns County at 7:30 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Union County took care of business in their home opener. Everything went their way against East Hall last Friday as they made off with a 35-6 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Towns County had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Hayesville 55-24. Towns County was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Towns County to 1-0 and Union County to 1-0. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
