Sophomore running back Joe Yearby had a 77-yard touchdowns run early in the fourth quarter to lift Central to the win. Central's Da'Wan Hunt also intercepted a pass late in the game to prevent a Mainland comeback.

Palmetto (Fla.) - 27
Duke Johnson rushed for 375 yards on 27 carries with three touchdown to lead Norland past Palmetto and into the Florida Class 5A final.

Dawson (Pearland, Texas) - 14
Lake Travis advanced to its fifth straight state championship game with a convincing win over Dawson. Baker Mayfield had four touchdown passes and Collin Lagasse had four touchdowns for the Cavaliers. Mayfield completed passes for 280 yards while Lagasse had five catches for 115 yards. Varshaun Nixon added 133 yards on 17 carries.
