The Oak Glen Golden Bears will challenge the Catholic Central Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Oak Glen came out on top against East Liverpool on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fifth inning. The Golden Bears took their contest against the Potters 10-6. The game was the first time the Golden Bears have beaten the Potters on their field since April 28, 2021.
Colt Hissam was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hissam was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs. He has become a key player for Oak Glen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-13 otherwise.
