Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard). They came out on top against the Water Canyon Wildcats by a score of 76-66 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Millard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karsen Stewart, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Stewart continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jensen Davies, who went 6 for 14 en route to 18 points and six boards.

Millard was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Water Canyon still got an impressive performance from Riley Jones, who went 10 of 18 on his way to 25 points and eight rebounds. Those 25 points gave Jones a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Domanik La Corti, who went 7 for 15 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

Millard's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Water Canyon, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Millard has already played their next match, a 65-64 loss against Piute on the 1st. As for Water Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 92-31 defeat against Kanab on the 5th.
