Baseball Game Preview: Elysian Fields Yellowjackets vs. Harmony Eagles

The Elysian Fields Yellowjackets will take on the Harmony Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Elysian Fields, who comes in off a win.

Harmony will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Elysian Fields extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. Everything went the Yellowjackets' way against Pewitt as they made off with a 9-1 victory. Fans of the Yellowjackets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

John Beavers made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Beavers was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

In other pitching news, Tanner Starr looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan White, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Braedon Adkins, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Harmony came up short against Harleton on Friday, falling 13-3.

Elysian Fields' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Harmony, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
