Softball Recap: Wahconah Regional Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mount Greylock Regional on Wednesday, Wahconah Regional came back down to earth. The Warriors took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taconic Thunder on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Wahconah Regional's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Taconic, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahconah Regional will take on Greenfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Taconic, they will face off against Drury at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Thunder surely won't give up without a fight.
