Softball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

After soaring to 23 runs the game before, Cooper was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell 6-1 to the Saltillo Lions. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 23-12.

Cooper saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Halle Toon, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. Adysen Ross also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Cooper's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Saltillo, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Cooper has already played their next contest, a 13-8 loss against Bland on the 10th. As for Saltillo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-8 defeat against Celeste on the 10th.
